SingFit Expands Its Digital Health Platform to Enhance Senior Health and Happiness in the UK

Musical Health Technologies, a leading innovator in digital health solutions for older adults is proud to announce the expansion of its groundbreaking SingFit digital health platform to the United Kingdom. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in the company's mission to revolutionize senior care by leveraging technology and music as medicine.

Through innovative technology and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, SingFit enhances the quality of life for older adults, fostering physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. To ensure SingFit is optimized for those in need in the UK, it has been working closely with select organizations and individuals, including Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber and its Propel@YH program, Blüm Health, ORCHA, and PRS for Music.

“We are grateful for our partnerships,” says CEO Rachel Francine. “With the help of many, including NEXUS, Glasgow Caledonian and other partners abroad, we have a wider view of how SingFit can support those across markets and specifically in the UK.”

In March 2024, SingFit attended the Rewired Digital Festival to promote the platform's release. Demonstrating the power of music as medicine, SingFit's co-founders Rachel Francine and Andy Tubman, Chief Clinical Officer, got the audience singing along to the lively hit song “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones.

SingFit gained Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) compliance in the UK in May 2024. DTAC is a set of UK-based standards and guidelines to evaluate the suitability of digital health technologies in healthcare and social services settings. By meeting DTAC requirements, SingFit expands its reach to National Health Service (NHS) institutions. SingFit is headquartered in Leeds, UK at Nexus, University of Leeds.

With this expansion, SingFit reaffirms its commitment to pioneering solutions that promote senior health and happiness on a global scale. This could potentially impact millions of older adults, including those with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke survivors, and individuals managing chronic conditions. Through tailored programs and personalized experiences, SingFit empowers older adults to actively participate in their health journey, promoting social connection, cognitive stimulation, and emotional resilience. Through active music making, SingFit strives to make meaningful impacts on the lives of older adults, fostering independence, joy, and vitality in their daily experiences.

“SingFit’s cutting-edge platform is designed to stimulate cognitive function, encourage social engagement, and promote emotional well-being among older adults,” said SingFit’s Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer, Andy Tubman. “Leveraging the power of music, the platform provides personalized lyric prompts that enable seniors to reminisce, connect with others, and experience the therapeutic benefits of music in a meaningful way.”
